About the role

We are looking for an experienced Category Procurement Manager to develop sourcing strategies and manage complex procurement activities across high-tech categories. You will work with global suppliers and internal stakeholders to secure long-term supply, improve supplier performance and deliver value across programmes with long procurement lead times.

Key responsibilities

Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business requirements, technical specifications and programme timelines.
Lead complex procurement activities, including supplier selection, tendering, negotiation and contract management.
Identify, assess and develop global suppliers across categories such as propulsion, electronics, optics and composites.
Work closely with engineering, supply chain and project teams to understand requirements and support sourcing decisions.
Assess supply chain risks and develop plans to address capacity constraints, long lead times and supply continuity.
Manage supplier relationships, monitoring quality, cost and delivery performance.
Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and continuous improvement.
Support compliance with applicable procurement policies, contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.

Skills and experience

5–8+ years of procurement experience, including complex, high-tech sourcing.
Experience managing long-cycle procurement in areas such as propulsion, electronics, optics or composites.
Experience in global sourcing and supplier development.
Proven ability to develop procurement strategies and execute complex procurement activities.
Strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field.
Fluent English; additional languages would be advantageous.
