About the Role

We are looking for an experienced FP&A and Adaptive Planning Analyst to join our client’s finance team and support financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis across the organisation.

The ideal candidate will combine strong FP&A and financial analysis experience with hands-on knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning. An accounting background or previous experience working within an accounting environment would be highly desirable.

The Role

As an FP&A & Adaptive Planning Analyst, you will play an important role in supporting the organisation’s financial planning and decision-making processes.

You will work closely with finance and business stakeholders to deliver accurate forecasting, budgeting and reporting, while also supporting the development and optimisation of Workday Adaptive Planning.

The role will suit someone who enjoys working with financial data, improving processes and using technology to make financial planning more efficient and insightful.

Key Responsibilities

Support the FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
Develop and maintain financial models within Workday Adaptive Planning.
Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and long-range financial plans.
Analyse financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key variances and trends.
Produce regular management reports and financial analysis.
Work closely with finance and business stakeholders to gather planning and forecasting requirements.
Maintain and improve Adaptive Planning models, reports, dashboards and planning processes.
Support data loads and ensure financial data within Adaptive Planning is accurate and up to date.
Assist with scenario modelling and financial forecasting to support business decision-making.
Identify opportunities to improve financial planning and reporting processes.
Support month-end and management reporting activities where required.
Work with accounting teams to ensure financial information used for planning and analysis is accurate and aligned with actual results.
Investigate discrepancies and resolve data or reporting issues.
Provide analysis and insight to support senior finance stakeholders and wider business teams.
Support system enhancements, testing and ongoing optimisation of Adaptive Planning.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

Experience working within FP&A, financial planning, management accounting or financial analysis.
Hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning.
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
An accounting background or experience within an accounting environment is highly preferred.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Experience working with financial models and large datasets.
Good understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
Experience analysing actuals versus budget and forecast.
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with finance and wider business teams.
Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.

Desirable Experience

Workday Adaptive Planning certification or relevant training.
Experience building or maintaining Adaptive Planning models.
Experience with Adaptive Planning reporting and dashboards.
Experience working with integrations or data loads into Adaptive Planning.
Experience supporting Adaptive Planning implementations or optimisation projects.
Experience working within a Workday Financials environment.
Previous experience in a management accounting role.
