Position Summary

The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining ServiceNow solutions that support business and IT operations. This role partners with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements, implement scalable solutions, and ensure the platform remains secure, efficient, and aligned with organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate is an experienced ServiceNow professional with strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions in a collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, customize, and maintain the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements.
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions using best practices.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Perform code reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure high standards of development.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Develop and execute test cases to validate functionality and ensure software quality.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including application functionality and development standards.
  • Develop and maintain workflows, business rules, client scripts, server-side scripts, and integrations.
  • Participate in platform enhancements, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging ServiceNow capabilities, industry trends, and platform best practices.
  • Collaborate with project teams using Agile or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Support system integrations and automation initiatives across the enterprise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience developing and supporting ServiceNow solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of the ITIL framework and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • ServiceNow platform configuration and customization
    • JavaScript scripting
    • Workflows and Flow Designer
    • Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and UI Policies
    • Integrations using REST, SOAP, and APIs
  • Experience with the ITSM module and at least one of the following:
    • IT Operations Management (ITOM)
    • IT Asset Management (ITAM)
    • Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD)
  • Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall software development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • Additional ServiceNow implementation or module certifications
  • Experience with platform upgrades, integrations, and workflow automation
  • Experience in enterprise IT environments
