About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Workday Finance Accounting Consultant to support the implementation, configuration and optimisation of Workday Financials solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and finance stakeholders to understand business requirements, develop effective solution designs and deliver end-to-end Workday Financials implementations.

This role requires strong functional expertise across core finance modules, a solid understanding of Workday’s Financial Data Model and the ability to advise clients on financial transformation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, configuration and optimisation of Workday Financials solutions.

• Configure and support key finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Expenses, Projects and Grants.

• Participate in client workshops to gather, analyse and document business requirements.

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.

• Support integration design, data migration and system testing activities.

• Advise clients on financial transformation, process improvements and Workday best practices.

• Collaborate with finance teams and key stakeholders, including CFOs and Financial Controllers, to ensure solutions meet business needs.

• Contribute to end-to-end implementation projects, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines.

• Work effectively within agile, fast-paced project environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience working with Workday Financials.

• Proven track record delivering end-to-end Workday Financials implementations.

• Strong understanding of the Workday Financial Data Model.

• Extensive functional knowledge of core finance modules and processes, including Record to Report (R2R) and Order to Cash (O2C).

• Experience across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Expenses and related financial functionality.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging finance leadership and senior business stakeholders.

• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional solutions.

• Understanding of integration design, data migration and financial systems optimisation.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in agile, fast-paced delivery environments.
