About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Workday Integration Lead to oversee the design, development and delivery of integrations within the Workday ecosystem.
This role will focus on managing the full integration lifecycle, ensuring seamless data exchange between Workday and external systems while maintaining high standards of security, performance and reliability.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on Workday integration expertise, technical leadership experience and excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between functional business requirements and technical delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end delivery of inbound and outbound Workday integrations, from requirements gathering and solution design through to deployment and ongoing support.

Design, develop and maintain integrations using Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Cloud Connect and Workday Web Services.

Configure and support integrations using PECI, PICOF, REST and SOAP APIs.

Collaborate with functional teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and integration designs.

Develop advanced Workday reports to support integration requirements and business processes.

Configure and maintain Workday security frameworks, including domain security policies and Integration System Users (ISUs).

Oversee integration testing, troubleshooting and performance optimisation.

Ensure integration solutions meet technical standards, security requirements and business objectives.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior consultants and integration developers.

Review technical deliverables to ensure quality, consistency and compliance with best practices.

Identify and resolve integration issues, dependencies and potential delivery risks.

Support continuous improvement of Workday integration processes and technical solutions.
Key Requirements

5–9+ years of overall IT experience, with a strong focus on Workday technical development and integrations.

Extensive hands-on experience designing, developing and deploying Workday integrations.

Strong proficiency in Workday Studio, EIB and Cloud Connect.

Experience working with PECI, PICOF and Workday Web Services, including REST and SOAP APIs.

Solid understanding of Workday integration architecture, data flows and connectivity.

Experience developing advanced Workday reports and supporting reporting requirements.

Strong knowledge of Workday security configurations, including domain policies and Integration System Users.

Proven experience managing the full integration delivery lifecycle.

Ability to translate complex functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.

Experience leading technical teams, mentoring junior consultants and reviewing integration deliverables.
Desirable Experience

Workday Integration Certification, Workday Studio Certification or Workday Pro accreditation.

Experience integrating Workday with third-party HR, Payroll, Finance or enterprise applications.

Exposure to Workday HCM, Financials or Payroll modules.

Experience working on large-scale Workday implementations, transformations or optimisation projects.

Knowledge of integration monitoring, error handling and performance optimisation.

Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and enterprise integration best practices.

Experience supporting global or multi-country Workday environments.
