About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Workday R2R & Advanced Compensation Consultant to join a dynamic team and provide functional expertise across Workday Finance and Advanced Compensation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong professional background in Accounting & Finance, combined with significant hands-on Workday experience. You will be responsible for understanding complex business requirements, independently developing solutions and supporting clients throughout their Workday journey.

This role requires someone who is confident working independently, capable of self-managing their workload and generating effective R2R solutions with minimal supervision.

French and English language skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional expertise across Workday Record-to-Report (R2R) and Advanced Compensation.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.
• Independently design and develop R2R solutions based on client and business requirements.
• Configure and support Workday Finance functionality, ensuring solutions align with accounting and finance best practices.
• Support Advanced Compensation processes and configuration where required.
• Work closely with finance, accounting and HR stakeholders to understand business needs.
• Lead requirements gathering, workshops and solution discussions.
• Provide expert guidance on Workday functionality and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Manage assigned workstreams and deliverables independently, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Support testing, defect resolution and deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot functional issues and provide effective solutions.
• Produce functional documentation and support knowledge transfer.
• Work collaboratively with technical teams and other Workday consultants where integrations or cross-functional solutions are required.
• Support continuous improvement of Workday Finance processes and solutions.

Essential Requirements

• 5–6+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong background in Accounting & Finance – this is essential.
• Significant hands-on experience with Workday.
• Strong understanding of Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
• Experience working with Workday Finance and/or Advanced Compensation.
• Proven ability to self-manage workload, priorities and deliverables.
• Strong ability to independently analyse requirements and generate R2R solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent in French and English.

Desirable

• Relevant Workday certifications.
• Previous experience working on Workday implementations or transformation projects.
• Experience leading Workday Finance workstreams.
• Experience working with multinational organisations and complex finance environments.
• Knowledge of Workday integrations and related finance systems.
• Experience with testing, deployment and post-go-live support.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a senior Workday Finance professional with a genuine Accounting & Finance background and strong R2R expertise.

You will be comfortable working autonomously, taking ownership of requirements and creating practical R2R solutions without requiring significant direction. Strong communication skills are essential, particularly when working with French- and English-speaking stakeholders.

Workday certifications are highly desirable, but strong hands-on Workday experience and finance expertise will be prioritised.
