Key Requirements:

Test Leadership & Execution

Lead end-to-end Workday Payroll testing on the customer side across the full implementation lifecycle, including system, integration, UAT, and go-live readiness.

Own the structure and governance of Payroll testing activities — developing test strategies, plans, and schedules aligned to program milestones.

Remain hands-on in execution, driving defect triage, retesting cycles, and readiness assessments to ensure delivery confidence.

Advisory & Consulting

Act as a trusted advisor to client and program leadership, providing best-practice guidance on Workday Payroll configuration, testing strategy, and operational readiness.

Apply strong knowledge of Workday methodology, enhancing standard processes where additional rigor is required.

Proactively identify risks and recommend pragmatic mitigation strategies to keep the program on track.

Documentation & Operational Readiness

Support the development of production operating model artifacts, ensuring testing outputs align with post-go-live support.

Contribute to documentation supporting:

• End-user and administrator training

• Transition to steady-state operations

Collaboration & Scope

Partner closely with functional, technical, and business stakeholders across the U.S. and Canada, ensuring testing aligns with regional regulatory and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Workday Payroll Test Lead or Advisor on full lifecycle implementations

• Strong hands-on delivery experience combined with leadership capability

• Deep knowledge of Workday Payroll and end-to-end payroll processes

• Strong understanding of Workday implementation methodology

• Consulting mindset: pragmatic, advisory, and delivery-focused

• Experience supporting testing through go-live and transition to production

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred

• Experience with U.S. and Canada-centric implementations

• Involvement in training and production support documentation

• Experience within complex, multi-workstream enterprise programs
