About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Central Consultant to work directly with end clients across the Netherlands and Belgium, helping organisations understand where they are today, where they want to go, what needs to change and how technology can support their transformation.

This is more than a traditional Business Central consulting role. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of client conversations, challenge existing ways of working and help organisations design better processes and technology solutions.

You will work with stakeholders at all levels, from operational teams and department heads through to senior management and C-suite, helping turn business challenges into practical transformation roadmaps and technology strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse clients' current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Challenge inefficient, outdated or unnecessarily complex ways of working.
• Design improved future-state processes aligned with business objectives.
• Translate business goals and challenges into practical transformation and technology solutions.
• Lead discovery sessions, workshops and client meetings independently.
• Work with a diverse range of stakeholders, including operational teams, department heads, senior management and C-suite.
• Create structured transformation roadmaps covering:
  • Current state
  • Target state
  • Process changes
  • Priorities
  • Dependencies
  • Technology choices
  • Delivery sequencing
• Advise clients on how Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central should fit within their wider technology landscape.
• Identify where other technologies, integrations, BI, automation or AI may provide a better solution than forcing requirements into Business Central.
• Support organisational change and help stakeholders adopt new processes and ways of working.
• Manage expectations and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Take ownership of client relationships, consulting activities and delivery responsibilities.
• Collaborate with developers, technical specialists and other consultants where specialist expertise is required.

Business Central & Wider Technology

Previous Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Business Central experience is important, but deep product knowledge alone is not what defines the ideal candidate.

Business Central may sit at the centre of a solution, but you should be comfortable looking beyond a single platform and understanding the wider technology landscape.

You are not expected to be an expert in every technology. What matters is your ability to:

AI-Enabled Consulting

AI is an important part of the consulting approach, with tools such as ChatGPT and other AI solutions used to accelerate research, product discovery, information gathering, documentation, preparation and other repetitive consulting activities.

The aim is to allow consultants to spend more time on higher-value consulting and strategic work.

Essential Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant consulting experience, with candidates considered from experienced consultant through to very senior level.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Strong experience analysing and improving business processes.
• Proven experience working directly with customers in a consulting environment.
• Experience independently leading client workshops and discovery sessions.
• Ability to translate business needs into structured solutions and transformation roadmaps.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Confidence engaging with senior management and C-suite stakeholders.
• Commercial and strategic mindset rather than a purely system-focused approach.
• Ability to constructively challenge clients when their initial requirements may not represent the best solution.
• Strong ownership and ability to work autonomously.
• Curiosity about technologies beyond Business Central.
• Willingness to continuously develop knowledge across different technologies and business domains.
• Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT in a professional environment.
• Professional fluency in Dutch and English.

Deep expertise across every technology is not required. The ability to understand the business problem, identify the right approach and bring the appropriate expertise together is more important.

You will be confident sitting in front of a client, asking challenging questions, understanding how their business operates and helping them determine what their future state should look like.

Rather than simply taking requirements and configuring Business Central, you will act as a trusted technology and transformation advisor — helping clients understand what they actually need, which technologies can support them and how to successfully move from their current state to their desired future state.
