Overview

We are currently supporting a global organisation undertaking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations transformation and are looking for an experienced D365 F&O Finance Consultant with deep expertise in Standard Costing.

This is a hands-on consulting role suited to a specialist who can provide expert guidance on standard costing processes and best practices within D365 Finance & Operations. This is not a team lead or management position.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise in Standard Costing within D365 Finance & Operations.

• Advise on best practices for monitoring, analysing and reconciling standard costing.

• Support finance teams with process improvements and optimisation.

• Configure and validate standard costing processes within D365 F&O.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend best-practice solutions.

• Troubleshoot costing-related issues and provide functional guidance throughout the project.

• Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful delivery of finance workstreams.

Required Experience

• Strong experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (Finance).

• Deep expertise in Standard Costing within D365 F&O.

• Proven experience advising clients on finance best practices.

• Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience working on end-to-end D365 F&O implementation or transformation projects.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

Location & Travel

• Candidates based in the USA (preferably near Cary, North Carolina) are preferred, with approximately 20% onsite and the remainder remote.

• Candidates based in Europe will be considered but must be able to work US business hours (approximately 1:00 pm–8:00 pm CET). Limited travel to the USA may be required (typically one or two trips during the contract).
