The Role

We are looking for an experienced PLM Technical Lead / Solution Architect to take ownership of the technical direction and delivery of a PTC Windchill/FlexPLM solution.

You’ll lead a key Proof of Concept from October 2026, working closely with internal stakeholders and two delivery partners to validate the solution, challenge technical decisions and ultimately provide a recommendation to C-level stakeholders.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who is comfortable operating independently, managing vendors and making decisions in a complex enterprise environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Own the Windchill/FlexPLM solution architecture, including the object model, lifecycles, workflows and fit-to-standard approach.

• Lead the Proof of Concept from October 2026, covering use cases, acceptance criteria, validation and the final C-level recommendation.

• Direct two delivery partners — PTC and an offshore systems integrator — across work packages, quality gates and acceptance.

• Run the workstream independently, managing sprints, tracking, vendor performance and issue resolution.

• Challenge vendor solutions hands-on and ensure a high level of technical quality throughout delivery.

• Drive PLM-to-ERP integration, with experience involving SAP S/4HANA highly desirable.

• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into effective and scalable PLM solutions.

• Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies and delivery challenges.

• Provide clear technical recommendations to senior stakeholders and support key architectural decisions.

Your Profile

• 8+ years of PTC PLM experience, with strong expertise across Windchill and/or FlexPLM.

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead or similar senior technical role.

• Strong hands-on technical knowledge combined with excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills.

• Experience delivering PLM–ERP integrations.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a strong advantage.

• Comfortable challenging technical solutions and vendors to ensure the right outcome.

• Self-driven, decisive and able to operate effectively with minimal supervision.

• Strong experience working within complex, enterprise-scale technology environments.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Fluent English is essential; German is a plus.
