We are looking for an experienced Kraken Finance Integration Lead / Finance SME to support a major finance transformation programme within the utilities/energy sector.

This role will sit at the intersection of Kraken, Finance and SAP S/4HANA, ensuring financial information generated within Kraken is structured correctly, reconciled effectively and supports accurate downstream finance reporting.

This is an initial three-month engagement, with extension expected, and an immediate start preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on the financial information generated within Kraken and how this should be structured and used by Finance.

• Define finance requirements for Kraken-to-SAP S/4HANA integration, including posting logic, reconciliation, financial controls and auditability.

• Support key finance processes including revenue assurance, unbilled revenue, accruals, billing validation and data quality.

• Work closely with Kraken specialists, technical teams and programme stakeholders to translate discussions into clear finance requirements and decisions.

• Identify finance-related risks, gaps and dependencies throughout the integration.

• Ensure the solution supports accurate and reliable downstream finance reporting and analytics.

• Support the design of robust reconciliation processes between billing data and the general ledger.

• Provide finance expertise around high-volume transactional and billing environments.

Experience Required

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

• Hands-on Kraken experience from a finance perspective, ideally covering billing-to-ledger, reconciliation or revenue assurance.

• Experience within utilities or energy retail finance.

• Strong understanding of billing cycles, unbilled revenue, revenue recognition and meter-to-cash processes.

• Experience working with high-volume transactional financial data.

• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance integration from a finance and solution-design perspective.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across Finance, Technology and programme teams.

• The ability to turn complex technical discussions into clear financial requirements, controls and decisions.

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification is desirable.

The Ideal Profile

Direct Kraken finance experience is highly preferred; however, we are also interested in candidates with strong utility billing-to-GL and revenue assurance experience who can quickly apply their knowledge within a Kraken environment.
