About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Workday FINs Lead to take a leading role across Workday Financials projects, supporting clients through implementation, optimisation and ongoing transformation.

This is a senior-level opportunity for a Workday Financials professional with strong functional expertise who can take ownership of complex requirements, lead workstreams and act as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal teams.

You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand financial processes, design effective Workday solutions and ensure implementations deliver measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead functional delivery across Workday Financials (FINs) projects.
• Own and manage FINs workstreams from requirements gathering through to implementation and go-live.
• Work closely with finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.
• Provide expert guidance across Workday Financials configuration and functionality.
• Lead workshops, requirements gathering, solution design and process mapping.
• Configure and optimise Workday Financials in line with business requirements and Workday best practices.
• Review existing financial processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
• Work collaboratively with technical, integration and wider Workday teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Support testing, UAT, deployment and post-go-live activities.
• Lead issue resolution and provide functional guidance throughout project delivery.
• Produce and review functional documentation and solution designs.
• Provide knowledge transfer, training and mentoring to junior consultants and client teams.
• Act as a senior point of contact for clients and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Contribute to Workday best practice, methodology and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Significant hands-on experience with Workday Financials.
• Proven experience leading Workday FINs workstreams or projects.
• Strong understanding of finance processes and how they translate into Workday.
• Experience with Workday Financials configuration and functional design.
• Strong requirements gathering and workshop facilitation skills.
• Experience working directly with senior finance stakeholders and business leaders.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical Workday solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex deliverables.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior Workday consultants.
• Strong understanding of Workday implementation methodologies and best practices.
