About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Workday Financials (FINs) Subject Matter Expert to provide functional leadership and deep expertise across Workday Financial Management.

You will act as a key point of expertise for Workday FINs, working closely with finance, technology and transformation teams to design, optimise and improve Workday Financials processes and functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Subject Matter Expert for Workday Financials, providing guidance across both projects and ongoing optimisation.

• Lead the design, configuration and enhancement of Workday Financial Management solutions.

• Work closely with Finance and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.

• Review existing Workday FINs processes and identify opportunities for optimisation, automation and standardisation.

• Lead functional workshops, requirements gathering and solution design sessions.

• Provide expertise across areas such as Financial Accounting, Business Assets, Banking & Settlement, Supplier Accounts, Customer Accounts and Expenses.

• Support Workday FINs implementations, enhancements, releases and transformation programmes.

• Advise stakeholders on Workday functionality, best practices and potential solution approaches.

• Work alongside integration, reporting, security and technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Support testing, UAT, deployment and post-go-live activities.

• Troubleshoot complex functional issues and provide recommendations for resolution.

• Review solution designs and configurations to ensure quality and scalability.

• Produce and maintain functional design, process and configuration documentation.

• Provide mentoring and guidance to other Workday consultants and team members where required.

Required Experience & Skills

• Extensive professional experience working with Workday Financial Management.

• Proven experience operating as a Senior Workday FINs Consultant, Lead or Subject Matter Expert.

• Strong functional knowledge across multiple Workday Financials areas.

• Hands-on experience configuring and optimising Workday FINs.

• Experience working across the full Workday lifecycle, including design, configuration, testing, deployment and post-go-live support.

• Strong understanding of finance processes and how they translate into Workday.

• Experience gathering complex business requirements and designing appropriate Workday solutions.

• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working directly with senior Finance and technology stakeholders.

• Experience leading workshops and communicating complex Workday functionality clearly.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Accounting Center, Prism Analytics or Adaptive Planning.

• Knowledge of Workday Reporting, Security and Integrations.

• Experience supporting global or multi-country Workday Financials environments.

• Previous involvement in large-scale Workday FINs implementations or transformation programmes.

• Experience with Workday Financials optimisation and post-production environments.

• Exposure to Workday's latest AI and automation capabilities.

• Active or previous Workday Financials certifications would be advantageous.
