Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workday Core HCM Functional Analyst with a minimum of three years of Workday experience and strong functional knowledge of Core HCM configuration.

The successful candidate will support the current Workday build phase, contributing to functional configuration and ensuring system requirements are accurately translated into effective Workday solutions. This role requires a hands-on functional specialist who can work closely with project teams and business stakeholders to support delivery and resolve configuration challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the current Workday build phase, focusing on Core HCM functionality and configuration.

• Configure and maintain Workday Core HCM in line with business and project requirements.

• Gather, analyse and document functional requirements from key stakeholders.

• Translate business requirements into appropriate Workday configurations and solutions.

• Support the configuration of business processes, organisational structures and employee data.

• Collaborate with functional consultants, technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment across the Workday build.

• Participate in functional testing, defect resolution and validation of system configurations.

• Troubleshoot configuration issues and support the resolution of functional challenges.

• Maintain functional documentation, configuration records and requirements specifications.

• Contribute to continuous improvement and ensure the Workday build meets agreed project objectives.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience working with Workday.

• Strong functional knowledge and hands-on configuration experience in Workday Core HCM.

• Experience supporting Workday implementation projects and build phases.

• Ability to gather and translate business requirements into functional configurations.

• Understanding of Workday business processes, employee data management and organisational structures.

• Experience supporting functional testing, issue resolution and configuration validation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a project team and support delivery against deadlines.

Technical Skills

• Workday Core HCM: Configuration, employee data and organisational structures.

• Business Processes: Configuration, workflows and functional requirements.

• Project Delivery: Build support, requirements gathering, testing and defect resolution.

• Functional Analysis: Documentation, stakeholder engagement and solution design.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on Workday Core HCM Functional Analyst with solid configuration experience and a good understanding of implementation delivery. They will be comfortable supporting an active build phase, working through functional requirements and collaborating with project stakeholders to ensure successful Workday delivery.
