As an SAP S/4 Project Manager, you will collaborate with our German-based client. This is a freelance role with a 12-month contract and strong potential for extensions. You will play a crucial role in leading and managing the successful implementation and execution of SAP S/4 HANA projects within our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, from planning and initiation to delivery and post-implementation support.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Initiation:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgetary requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success
Project Execution and Management:
- Lead cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, direction, and motivation.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and take proactive measures to keep the project on track.
- Manage project resources, including staffing, budget, and external vendors/consultants.
- Ensure adherence to project milestones, quality standards, and best practices.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and senior management, to gather requirements and align project objectives.
- Facilitate productive meetings, workshops, and discussions to drive decision-making and issue resolution.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project updates and reports.
Change Management:
- Develop and implement change management strategies to support user adoption of SAP S/4 HANA.
- Coordinate training activities to ensure users are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
- Identify and address potential resistance to change, promoting a smooth transition to the new system.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an SAP Project Manager, specifically with S/4 HANA projects.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4 HANA and its modules, functionality, and integration with other systems.
- Solid project management skills, including project planning, execution, resource management, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering collaboration and driving results.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Change management experience, including user adoption and training.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
