About The Role

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Workday Analyst – Security & Data to join a global HR Technology and Services team.

You’ll be responsible for developing, supporting and maintaining the core Workday HR system, with a particular focus on Workday Security, data governance and data quality.

As a subject matter expert, you’ll work closely with HR, technology and business stakeholders to ensure Workday security is robust, data is accurate and well governed, and integrations and connected systems operate securely and effectively.

This is a senior role for someone who can take ownership of complex Workday security and data requirements while also providing excellent support to colleagues across a global organisation.

Your Responsibilities

Workday Security

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Workday Security and Data, driving continuous improvement across both areas.

  • Own and maintain the Workday security model, including the design and configuration of security groups and role-based access.

  • Manage domain and business process security policies.

  • Conduct regular security audits, access reviews and security assessments.

  • Support internal and external audit and compliance activities.

  • Ensure segregation of duties (SoD) principles are maintained across the Workday environment.

  • Assess the security impact of organisational changes, new functionality and system enhancements.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to strengthen Workday security controls and processes.

Data Governance & Quality

  • Establish and maintain Workday data governance standards in partnership with HR and business stakeholders.

  • Drive improvements in data accuracy, consistency and ownership.

  • Define and maintain data management processes and controls.

  • Support data retention, privacy and compliance requirements.

  • Identify data quality issues and work with stakeholders to implement sustainable improvements.

  • Ensure appropriate governance is maintained across core Workday data.

Integrations & Data Flows

  • Partner with integration teams to ensure secure and accurate data exchange between Workday and connected systems.

  • Support inbound and outbound Workday integrations.

  • Assess the data and security impact of integration changes.

  • Investigate and troubleshoot data and integration issues.

  • Ensure data security standards are maintained across connected systems.

  • Support analysis of data flows and dependencies between Workday and wider HR technology platforms.

Reporting & System Support

  • Support Workday reporting and the development and maintenance of calculated fields.

  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.

  • Support new functionality, system changes and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Investigate and resolve complex Workday issues, working with relevant teams where escalation is required.

  • Provide guidance and support to Workday users and stakeholders globally.

  • Maintain appropriate system, security and data documentation.

Your Profile

We’re looking for a senior Workday professional with extensive hands-on experience across Workday Security and Data.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Extensive experience administering Workday Security.

  • Strong understanding of Workday domain and business process security.

  • Experience designing and configuring security groups and role-based access.

  • Strong experience with Workday reporting and calculated fields.

  • Proven experience with Workday data governance and data quality management.

  • Experience conducting security audits and supporting compliance and audit reviews.

  • Strong understanding of data privacy principles and data protection requirements.

  • Experience working with Workday integrations and data flows.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex security and data requirements.

  • Experience working within a global HR Technology or HRIS environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Workday Pro Security Certification.

  • Workday Pro Reporting Certification.

  • Experience with Workday Prism Analytics.

  • Stronger technical knowledge of Workday Integrations.

  • Experience working with GDPR and wider regulatory compliance frameworks.

  • Experience delivering or supporting Workday security redesign programmes.

  • Experience working with large, complex or global Workday environments.
