About The Role
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Workday Analyst – Talent & Performance to join a global HR Technology and Services team.
You’ll act as the Subject Matter Expert for Workday Talent & Performance, taking ownership of the ongoing development, support and optimisation of the module across the organisation.
Working closely with HR, business and technology stakeholders, you’ll lead configuration changes and Workday projects from requirements and solution design through to testing, deployment and user adoption. You’ll also play an important role in shaping the wider Workday roadmap and identifying opportunities to maximise the value of the platform.
This is a senior role suited to someone who can work independently, influence stakeholders and take ownership of complex Workday initiatives.
Your Responsibilities
Talent & Performance

Act as the Subject Matter Expert for Workday Talent & Performance, driving continuous improvement of functionality and business processes.

Ensure Talent & Performance solutions align with business strategy and Workday best practice.

Analyse existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, functionality and user experience.

Provide guidance and expertise to HR and business stakeholders on Talent & Performance capabilities.

Maintain system integrity, configuration standards and appropriate governance across the module.
Configuration & Project Delivery

Lead the end-to-end delivery of Workday configuration changes, from requirements gathering through to deployment.

Gather, analyse and document business requirements.

Translate requirements into effective solution designs and Workday configurations.

Lead testing activities, including test planning, execution, defect management and resolution.

Manage Talent & Performance enhancements and projects from design through to deployment, ensuring delivery is on time and to agreed standards.

Produce and maintain clear functional and system documentation.

Support training and communications to ensure successful adoption of new functionality.
Workday Releases & Continuous Improvement

Work closely with the business on Workday releases, assessing new functionality and understanding its potential impact.

Review release items, recommend relevant feature adoption and coordinate testing and deployment.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across Talent & Performance.

Identify opportunities to simplify and enhance existing processes.

Communicate system changes effectively to stakeholders and support associated training and change activities.
Workday Strategy & Roadmap

Contribute to the organisation’s strategic Workday roadmap.

Recommend feature adoption and roadmap priorities in partnership with business stakeholders.

Help shape the future development of the Workday platform based on business needs and emerging Workday functionality.

Ensure Talent & Performance remains aligned with wider HR technology strategy.
Stakeholder & Partner Management

Build strong relationships with HR, business and technology stakeholders at all levels.

Collaborate with internal teams and third-party Workday implementation/support partners.

Manage and coordinate partner activity where required.

Provide clear recommendations and guidance on complex Workday requirements.

Act as an escalation point for complex Talent & Performance issues.
Governance & Team Support

Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant legislation.

Contribute to Workday governance processes and ensure system changes follow appropriate controls.

Support change management and user adoption activities.

Mentor and provide guidance to junior Workday analysts and administrators.

Share knowledge and best practice across the wider HR Technology team.
Your Profile
We’re looking for a senior Workday professional with deep functional expertise across Talent & Performance and the ability to take ownership of complex projects and stakeholder requirements.
You’ll ideally have:

Deep hands-on expertise across the Workday Talent & Performance module.

Strong understanding of Workday business processes and configuration.

Proven experience gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements.

Strong experience leading Workday configuration changes and module enhancements.

Experience managing projects from solution design through to deployment.

Proven experience supporting Workday releases and testing cycles.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Experience working with HR and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical Workday solutions.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex issues and projects.

Experience supporting change management, communications and user adoption.

Experience mentoring or supporting junior Workday professionals.
Desirable Experience

Experience across multiple Workday modules.

Experience working within a global organisation.

Previous experience within the legal sector.
