About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Workday Functional Financials Consultant to join our client’s team and support the implementation, optimisation and ongoing development of Workday Financials.

This is a great opportunity for a Workday Financials professional based in Sweden, with strong functional expertise and the ability to work closely with Swedish-speaking finance and business stakeholders.

The Role

As a Workday Functional Financials Consultant, you will provide functional expertise across Workday Financials, working with finance teams and key stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.

You will be involved throughout the functional lifecycle, from requirements gathering and process design through to configuration, testing, implementation and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

Provide functional expertise across Workday Financials.
Work closely with finance and business stakeholders to understand and document requirements.
Translate business and finance requirements into effective Workday Financials solutions.
Support the design and configuration of Workday Financials functionality.
Analyse and improve existing finance processes within Workday.
Support core financial processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Banking and Financial Reporting, depending on project scope.
Gather requirements and produce functional documentation.
Configure Workday solutions in line with agreed business requirements and Workday best practice.
Support integrations and data flows between Workday and other financial systems.
Plan and execute functional and user acceptance testing.
Investigate and resolve functional issues and defects.
Provide user support, guidance and knowledge transfer.
Work closely with Workday technical, integration and other functional teams.
Support Workday releases, enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure solutions meet business requirements and provide a strong user experience.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

Strong hands-on experience with Workday Financials.
Previous experience working as a Workday Functional Financials Consultant.
Strong understanding of core finance and accounting processes.
Experience with Workday Financials configuration.
Experience gathering requirements, process mapping and functional design.
Experience supporting Workday implementations, enhancements or post-go-live environments.
Strong testing and troubleshooting experience.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong Swedish and English language skills.
Based in Sweden and comfortable working in a hybrid environment.

Desirable Experience

Experience working on large-scale or international Workday Financials programmes.
Knowledge of Swedish finance, accounting or localisation requirements.
Experience with Workday Financials integrations.
Workday Financials certification or relevant Workday training.
Experience working with multinational finance teams.
